Gearing up for Kindergarten
Getting your child ready for Kindergarten is a key component of both our programs. Here are  7 strands of learning and development our programs, and you as a parent, are striving to achieve as your child prepares for kindergarten.

Creative Arts
Shows appreciation for music - Can distinguish between different types of music (loud/soft, fast/slow, happy/sad - Uses a variety of materials to create visual art - Uses materials to create three dimensional structures - Discusses their own artistic creations with others - Participates in role and dramatic play

​Identifies by own characteristics (name, age, gender, family) - Is able to take care of personal needs independently - Able to interact in cooperation with others - Able to follow multi-step directions - Able to express needs and feelings

Uses finger and hand strength to manipulate small objects - Uses tripod grasp when holding writing utensils - Developing coordination, balance, spatial awareness, and strength - Independently takes care of personal hygiene needs during the school day
